The bird feeder can only be linked to one user account at a time. If you want to link the device to a new account, you must first reset it to remove the existing link.
However, you can share the bird feeder with other users by adding their accounts to your family group in the app.
It is important that the person you want to share has downloaded the "Bird Lover" app.
There are three ways to share the device with others:
1. click on the "Share" icon on the home page ( My Home ), This allows you to send the invitation via a link.
2. set up a home in Family Management and then add the member. Again, you can send the invitation via a link.
3. give your account name and password to others, they can log in with the same account.
We have prepared a video that explains the process visually. You can find it here in German and here in English.
The camera only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi. A connection to a 5 GHz WiFi network is not possible.
Yes, the smart bird feeder from Sanilu is made from weatherproof materials and protects the camera and food from rain, snow and direct sunlight all year round.
The feeder can be opened easily so that you can refill the feed and clean the inside. It is recommended to clean the feeder regularly to prevent mold growth and spoilage of the food.
As soon as the camera detects movement, you receive a real-time notification on your smartphone so that you know immediately when a bird is at the feeding station.
Yes, the camera is equipped with a night vision function so that you can take clear pictures and videos even in the dark.
If the WiFi connection is interrupted, the camera will continue to record videos, which will be saved as soon as the connection is re-established.
The bird feeder is designed for use in temperatures from -20.5°C to 48.5°C, so it works reliably even in extreme weather conditions.
The feeder has a capacity of 2.5 liters, which is enough to feed many birds over a longer period of time.
The bird feeder comes with a 64GB memory card, which offers enough space to store numerous videos and pictures of bird activity.
Check the connection between the camera and solar panel.
Check the indicator light of the solar panel.
In autumn and winter, it is recommended to fully charge the solar panel with the supplied USB cable before use.
The solar panel has been designed so that the batteries in the solar panel must first be charged and then, when a certain amount of energy is stored, it is released to charge the camera. So that the solar panel works well even without sunlight.
If the problem persists, please contact our customer service.
The solar panel has an indicator light:
- Red light: Solar panel batteries are charging.
- Green light: Batteries are fully charged and can supply the camera with power.
Our camera requires a 2.4 GHz WLAN network for setup and operation. Direct use exclusively via mobile data is therefore not possible.
In principle, the camera can also be connected via a smartphone hotspot. However, two devices are required for this:
- a smartphone that provides the hotspot (WLAN)
- a second smartphone or tablet to use the Birdlover app to set up and use the camera.
Unfortunately, the connection does not currently work with just one smartphone (hotspot and app at the same time).
If no Wi-Fi is available at your location, a mobile Wi-Fi router with a SIM card (LTE router) can be used as an alternative. This creates a permanent Wi-Fi network to which the camera can connect.
If problems occur, it often helps to reset the bird feeder camera. We describe how to do this in the operating instructions. We have also prepared a video for you that shows the process of resetting the camera.
